It’s been so long since I’ve posted! Life has been somewhat of a whirlwind. But I’m back. Without further ado…
Sequins have always been super fun for me. Not only do they require less effort to accessorize for a night out, but because they’re so glittery and in-your-face. I love how versatile my hooded sequins vest is, because when layered correctly they can be worn every day! I just took old pieces from my closet to complete the looks. Such is the femmefrugale motto. To maximize your wardrobe. I wore these three outfits in a week. Layered over, in-between, and under–achieving different looks. Not sure how?
FIRST LOOK: LAYERED OVER
When layered over a crop top and shorts, the look is pulled together and more refined. At my age, I’m not comfortable with showing too much skin, so the vest allows me to cover up what I don’t want showing. Also, as a bonus, there’s a slimming effect! Ready for a night out with friends.
SECOND LOOK: LAYERED IN-BETWEEN
When the vest is layered in between pieces, in this case a tee and a bomber jacket, the look is more casually cool. The sequins play peek-a-boo under the jacket, and over my torn jeans, so the shine is very subtle. Perfect for running errands and running around town, whilst looking just a little bit extra. We all need that, right?
THIRD LOOK: LAYERED UNDER
This last look is more street style, and yes, you’ll definitely either love it or hate it. But it’s fun, and you won’t know until you try. Layered under a striped ruffle tank, when I pop the hood of the vest, I do feel like I was ready for a music video role. But I love it, and when I went shopping in this outfit I received tons of compliments!
You can layer something more subtle instead, and with what you have in the closet… then maybe you can teach me a thing or two about how you layered!
But remember, as always, just have fun and own your look! That’s the best part of being creative with your wardrobe.

Meesh
