“Love Actually” and my dress

One of the best rom-com (romantic comedies) of all time is undoubtedly “Love Actually.” One of the most memorable scenes in the film is definitely when Keira Knightley’s character Juliet, is standing at the doorway with Mark’s confessions on cue-cards. The jury is still out on whether or not Mark should have confessed to a newly married Juliet, and whether or not she should have kissed him out of kindness (I personally didn’t think she should have). Either way, it was a romantic notion, and when I had the chance to go see the famous pink house– I took it!

Notice the pink house on the very left in these two scenes from the film.

The house was so pretty and the neighbors were all really nice. So here’s the story: I’m not sure if it was the location or the dress, but a black cab driving through the mews stopped to ask if the boyfriend and I had just gotten “married.” We laughed no, and they kindly replied, “Well ok then, still… congratulations on the pretty dress?!” It was a cute and funny moment, and I actually thought to myself, “Hmm, with the proper accessories this could be a very nice dress for an engagement photo session”– and you can definitely use it many times after!! Haha~

I guess the all white theme I went for explains the mistaken identity.

I paired the dress with a multi-strand pearl necklace with charms and some white heels. After all, it IS the summer (even if the clouds in London try to change the rules).

The shoes are actually surprisingly comfortable, though the cobble stones were very hard to walk on.

See how cute the houses in this neighborhood are? These gardens are goals!
